A DREAM written down with a date becomes a GOAL.
A GOAL broken down into steps becomes a PLAN.
A PLAN backed by action becomes REALITY
SO let’s make those Dreams into Goals and into Reality.
We all have dreams, but it takes writing them down and creating a plan to make them come to life.
Here’s a few tools that can help you work towards those goals, stay on track and achieve them.
Print out the worksheets below and give me a few minutes of your time so we can work through this together.
Now that you have your PDF ready to go. Here are the simple steps I’d like you to follow:
Write down 2-5 goals for each Category on the Reflection & Planning Page.
Pick 1 goal from each Category that you’d like to work on. Write down that goal next to the Category on the My Goals 2020 Sheet.
Now we’re going to cover 5 steps for you to get to those goals. But before that, I want you to state your “WHY"… Why do you want to achieve that specific goal?
Then go into the 5 steps:
Consistency - Write down the things that you need to do daily to make sure you’re on track with your goal.
Weekly check in - Pick one day a week where you will review your progress. Also define what progress looks to you.
Rewards - Decide on a few ways you’ll reward yourself when you’ve been consistent all week and are getting closer towards your goals. (as long as the rewards don’t interfere with your goals)
Be prepared for Obstacles - Thing will get in the way of your goals (that’s life!). That’s why it’s good to have a set plan to get back on track, so you’ll be able to continue right where you left off. You can also write down a few sentences that will help remind that you CAN do this. Think of what a friend would say to encourage you.
Stay Accountable - One way to make sure you stay accountable is to share your goals and process with someone who will encourage you. You can even find an online community to help you stay accountable. Once you put it out there, it becomes real!
